Mali-Folkecenter Nyetaa is a Malian NGO working on climate change, renewable energy, green jobs and environmental protection. We are based in Mali, West Africa. Since January 2019, we have an office in Bonn, at the UN village.

We are now looking for interns (based in Germany) to work part time at our Bonn office.

The general requirements are the following:

• Strong interest in climate change, renewable energy, and environmental protection
• Education to university level or similar in the fields of communication, environmental studies, social sciences, renewable energy, education sciences, natural sciences or similar
• Strong capacity to work independently
• Fluent English, and at least a basic knowledge of French – Interest in global issues, especially in (West) Africa

The following capacities/ characteristics are an asset:

• Good communication skills: strong writing ability, and capacity to use design programs (like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, etc), and make oral presentations
• Strong knowledge of social media and internet in general
• Marketing skills
• Fluent French

The tasks will be defined together after evaluation of the interests and the capacities of the intern. They can include:

• Production of promotional materials / articles / etc
• Participation in the development of project applications
• Research of information about various subjects related to the domains of MFC – Promoting MFC in Europe, especially in Germany via different channels
• Other tasks depending on the skills and the interest of the volunteer

The working hours will be defined together, with a minimum of 10h/week.

MFC cannot pay a salary but we can offer one trip to Mali to participate in different activities in the field.
